Captain D. Brayboy
Captain Brayboy joined the Hope Mills Police Department in September of 2023 after retiring from North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division as the Special Agent in Charge of the Fayetteville District. He has proudly served the citizens of North Carolina with public safety for over 31 years.
While serving as the Captain over Uniformed Services for HMPD, Captain Brayboy is an active Army Reservist possessing the rank of Colonel, currently serving as the Command Inspector General of AR-MEDCOM in Pinellas Park, FL. He has served over 34 years in both the North Carolina Army National Guard and the Army Reserves.
Captain Brayboy received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 1993. He is a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff College, West Point Leadership Program, and many other leadership courses throughout his law enforcement and military career.
