After-School Care

For the 2019-2020 school year, the Hope Mills Parks and Recreation After-School Program will require a weekly minimum of 10 students registered in each individual week in order for the program to be held. If any given week does not have at least 10 pre-registered students by the Tuesday prior, the program for the following week will not be held. 

Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Department offers an After-School program designed for ages 5-12 years old. The program currently serves Rockfish Elementary School. If parents wish to enroll their child(ren) from another school, you must make arrangements to transport them to and from the Hope Mills Recreation Center.

Children are walked over to the Recreation Center by one of our staff members at approximately 2:15 p.m. daily. Children are required to do homework first, followed by a snack and game time. If children finish their assigned homework early, they may quietly read a book of their choice.

The program follows the schedule for Cumberland County Schools and honors the Town of Hope Mills holiday schedule. If the Town is closed due to inclement weather or for any other reasons, the Program will be closed as well.
